This is supposed to be a Christmas Tree with flags of the world on the ornaments.
This is my finished product. I chose this idea over my other ones because I really just loved the idea of having each ornament be a flag of the world, and I really think that Christmas is a Peaceful time of year.
I had the problem of deciding what looks good or how do I draw this. I faced these challenges with help from Mrs. Ruggles and my friends. I had such a good time doing this.
I'm actually really happy with how this turned out. At first I thought the message wasn't going to turn out, but now I can see the message quite clearly. I loved this project so much I cant wait to do more projects similar to this one.
I think that I have improved a lot! I used to be okay, with drawing 3D houses and things but now that I know to take lines to the vanishing points, I can draw pretty awesome things. I think I also improved because now I can draw fire!!
Some of the problems I had was drawing the revolving door, what I did was look up a picture on the internet. I also had a hard time keeping my lines straight, so I just tried to keep my hand steady while using my ruler. Another problem I had was using Oil Pastels, at first I wasn't going to use any Oil Pastels but then I decided that it might look cute in my road and in the smoke of the fire and the sky. I'm pretty happy with how my city turned out and here's some reasons why.
First of all I like how my pencil smudging turned out. Second is I like how my city is light and dark. Lastly I'm so glad how the Oil Pastel ended up looking. Overall I loved the whole thing but if I had to choose one thing to change, I would make the change of not putting names on my bulidings.
